07/08/01 PM- 2mi ~15:00 - I thought it would be a good idea to run on a soft trail, so I went to the Black River Preserve in Ironia, NJ.  The trail is smooth gravel/dirt with only a few roots and rocks to avoid.  I managed to hit one and twisted my right ankle.  oh well.   2

09/10/01 PM- 4mi on treadmill, then 5mi outside 1:02:16.  Strange day, I forgot the inserts that come with my running shoes, so I decided to run without them.   It's a weird feeling to be running on the stitching of the shoe.  Then the downpour started, so I wimped out and started running on the treadmill- it got boring so I finished outside. I know I'm a pansy, but at least I didn't quit and "save myself for Zurich"...   9
